Open the settings
Open the Group tab and tap Settings. Tap any row to change it, then tap Save.
Group and games
- Group name, venue, usual day, usual kick-off and usual cost per head.
- Default format for new games.
- Flag late dropouts within: how many hours before kick-off an Out counts as late.
Fine amounts
Set the usual amounts for a late dropout, a no-show and losing the ball. They fill in when a fine is issued and can still be changed each time.
Online payments
- Stripe (cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay): tap Connect and complete Stripe's sign-up. It's set up for a person running a group, not a company, so Stripe asks for your own details and checks your identity. If you stop part-way, tap Continue later to pick up where you left off.
- PayPal: tap Connect and enter the email of the PayPal Business account that should receive payments. To change it, tap Disconnect, then Connect again.
- Bank transfer: tap Set up and enter the account name (exactly as your bank shows it), sort code and account number. If you have a monzo.me, revolut.me or paypal.me link, add it too and players get a Pay with Monzo style button. There are no fees, and no account to connect.
- Switch on Subs and/or Fines to let players pay online.
- Choose who pays the payment fees: Player pays (the fee is added at checkout, so the group gets the full amount) or Group pays (players pay exactly what they owe and the fee comes out of what the group receives).
- Money goes straight to your own Stripe, PayPal or bank account. Byb never holds it and takes nothing.
- With bank transfer on, everyone in the group sees your bank details when they pay, so only add an account you're happy to share with them. Your Assistants are told if the details change.
- When a player taps I've paid, you and your Assistants get a notification. Check your bank, then confirm it on the Fines or Subs page.
- You handle payouts, refunds and disputes in your Stripe or PayPal account. Refunds can also be started from Fines or Subs with Refund.
- Disconnect stops online payments; it doesn't close your Stripe or PayPal account. If you connect Stripe again afterwards, you start a fresh Stripe sign-up.
- Stuck part-way through, or connected the wrong account? Contact support (Help & support › Contact support, choose Payments and receipts). The Byb team can reset it, and you'll get a notification when you can start again from the beginning. Payments already made aren't affected.
Bib colour
Under Bibs, choose the colour of the bibs your group wears: orange, yellow, green, red, blue or pink. The Bibs team shows in that colour on Teams, the matchday poster, the match screen and in results. Non-bibs show in blue, or orange if your bibs are blue.
Roast awards
Switch Roast awards off to turn off Stinky Bib and Bottled It. Man of the Match and the award of the week carry on.
