For Managers: managing players

Add a player

1. Open the Group tab and tap Add player.
2. Enter their name, and a nickname if you like.
3. Add their mobile and/or email if they're happy for you to have them. They're used to send their invite and to match them when they sign up. Nobody else in the group sees them.
4. Choose their position.
5. Rate them now: type a number from 1 to 99 for each attribute, or use − and + to change it by one (use 50 for an average player in your group). Or switch Rate them now off to leave them unrated.
6. Tap Save player.

Byb won't add the same mobile or email twice in one group. Tap Cancel or the back arrow to leave; you'll be asked before anything you've typed is lost.

Send their personal invite

• After saving, Byb shows their personal invite: a QR code and a link.
• Tap Send on WhatsApp or Send as a text message (needs their mobile), Send by email, or Copy link. Messages are sent from your own phone.
• The link only works for that profile, and stops working once they've joined.
• Later, open their card › Manage player › Send personal invite link to send it again.

Set or change ratings

1. Open the player's card and tap Manage player (or Set ratings for a new player). To see everyone still to rate, tap Not yet rated above the members list on the Group tab (the not rated note on Home opens it for you).
2. Type a base rating from 1 to 99 for each attribute, or use − and + to change it by one. Now shows their current rating, including votes, results and any streak boost.
3. Tap Save ratings.

• Every change is recorded in the Ratings log, which only Managers and Assistants can see.
• New players who join with the group link show on Home with Set ratings. Home also shows how many players haven't been rated yet; tap it to see them.

Change a player's details

In Manage player › Details, change their position, or their name if they haven't signed up yet (players who have signed up manage their own name and photo). Tap Save details.

Merge, unlink or remove Manager only

• Merge profiles: if one person has two profiles, combine them. Games, goals, fines and awards move onto the one you keep, and the other is deleted.
• Unlink account: if the wrong person claimed a profile, this disconnects it from their login. The profile stays.
• Remove player: takes them out of the group. They stay in past results as a former player.
